simPRO Makes 2018 AFR Most Innovative Companies List

Posted 12/8/2018

Global job management solutions company simPRO has been honoured to be recognised as an example of innovation in Australia and New Zealand, after making the 2018 AFR Most Innovative Companies List.

Published annually by The Australian Financial Review, the prestigious list is based on a rigorous assessment process managed by Australia’s leading innovation consultancy, Inventium, in conjunction with a panel of industry expert judges. The full Top 100 list can be viewed here:

simPRO ranked 86th on the overall list, from over 1,000 nominated organisations across Australia and New Zealand. The assessment measures a top innovation implemented in the past twelve months.

Specifically, the judges look at how valuable the problem is that the innovation is solving, the quality and uniqueness of the solution, and the level of impact that the innovation has had. Inventium assesses internal elements such as innovation culture, strategy, resources and process, which demonstrate a sustainable and repeatable approach to innovation.

simPRO was recognised for its simPRO IoT solution officially launched in June 2018 and also made the list thanks to exceptional practices like fostering a strong internal culture of innovation through to comprehensive user engagement practices. Through identification of barriers to integration, simPRO IoT integrates with any other IoT devices or protocols from third parties or existing installations.

The real world applications of simPRO’s IoT solution are extensive. The company has begun working with airport lounge operator Swissport and facilities (building plant and equipment) management group Thermacell to keep guests at Luton Airport in the UK warm in winter and cool in summer.

The company has also teamed with hospitality facilities management specialists Three Nations (www.threenations-online.co.uk) to develop the to help eradicate the scourge of fatbergs with a fully integrated and automated solution called FOGCheck.

simPRO Chief Technology Officer Jonathan Eastgate said he was proud to see the company receive recognition in the 2018 AFR Most Innovative Companies List with simPRO IoT signalling the future of facilities management.

“The concept of simPRO IoT is exciting for global businesses because by connecting key machines to speak to each other, it can increase crisis reaction times, reduce reactive maintenance, and help our customers secure new business down the road,” he said.

“We identified a need, not only in Australia but across the globe, for software integration and development to achieve a complete working solution. Through simPRO IoT, businesses are able to create their own formula for inevitable productivity and success,” he said.

Inventium CEO Amantha Imber said the field of entrants for the 2018 AFR Most Innovative Companies list is the highest quality seen in seven years of judging the list.

“Making the 2018 list is a massive achievement and signals that the organisation is not only producing highly impactful innovations, but also has a sustainable approach to growth,” she said.
